The thing about HVACs is that there are only so many things that could end up going wrong with them at any given point in time, which means that if you familiarize yourself with the general structure that they are built around you might just be better able to fix it all on your own. We are going to be telling you about one of the most common problems that can occur with an HVAC when you have it on the cooling setting as well as tell you how you can go about fixing it without having to call in a professional to handle the job for you.
The problem that we are referring to involves your AC’s cooling coils freezing over. You would notice that the airflow from your AC would stop being as strong when this occurs, and the process for fixing your ac if this occurs is actually quite simple. A big part of the reason why that is the case has to do with the fact that you would pretty much just need to change your AC’s setting and turn the fan on.
The air from the fan would be warmer than the ice and it would slowly start to melt it over time. This is great since it can enable you to get rid of the ice and start using your HVAC as you normally would. If you were to continue using your HVAC on the cooling setting the end result of this would be that even more ice would start to accumulate on the coils and the problem would continue to get worse instead of getting better which is what you would ideally want.
